Is there going to be a new Twenty One Pilots album?
We want new music
I don't know if the Clique could ever not want new music from Twenty One Pilots, but it's been two years since Blurryface was released, so we're all kind of itching to hear something new from the band. We did get "Heathens" last summer, but historically the band has released a new album every two years, and Blurryface came out in 2015, so 2017 should be the year of a new album, but it's April already, and we've heard nothing.
Or maybe we have. Check out these pictures from Tyler Joseph's Instagram feed.
That's a picture that Tyler released last year before "Heathens" came out. Notice that it's a picture of just him, and there's a one word description part of which is the word "heathen," which would later become the song "Heathens."
Well, just recently, Tyler released this picture:
It's a picture of Tyler alone, and has a one word description "Whisperer." The reigning theory is that this could be the announcement of a new song that the band is going to release.
And not only that picture, but a few months ago, he posted this picture of his wife listening to "all the new ideas."
Tyler Joseph writes music constantly, but these last two pictures could suggest that something concrete is coming together and soon to be released. I don't know what the album will be called, and I'll admit that even the above "proof" isn't conclusive. This could still go either way. Maybe they will release an album, or maybe we'll have to wait until 2018 or after. It's impossible to know for certain without Tyler telling us, but perhaps he is telling us with these pics.
P.S. Some new Clique friends of mine shared this picture with me recently. I went back to find the picture on the left in Tyler's history, but it was nowhere to be found, and the smaller amount of likes on it makes it suspicious, but I wanted to share all evidence with you so you could make your own decision.
